Edible Chocolate Blood
½ cup warm water
1 tablespoon coco powder
3-4 tablespoons corn syrup
1 teaspoon red food coloring
2 drops green or yellow food coloring (optional)
Thoroughly blend cocoa powder with water, add remaining ingredients, blend well and wait for mix to rest. Skim top of any sediments and blot with a facial tissue or soft paper towel. As mixture rests it will naturally separate as does real blood.
Makes great blood splatter!
Fake Intestines
4 tea bags
6 cups hot water
Cup of ice
White paper towels
White thread
¼ cup Strawberry or Raspberry jelly
Place 4 tea bags in a large bowel and add approximately 6 cups of hot water. Let steep until the water is dark brown. Remove the tea bags and set aside. Add ice cubes to cool.
Unroll white paper towels to approximately 2 feet in length. Unroll 3 times and place on top of each other to make a thicker roll. Roll length wise to form a long tube. To secure tube shape tie both ends with a short piece of white thread. Make 2 tubes. Submerge towel tubes into the tea mixture and let soak up plenty of liquid. Squeeze out excess tea. Place on a platter and curve back and forth to form intestines.
Break open one of the used tea bags. Spoon some of the tea grounds onto the folds of the intestines to form dark areas. Check the color of your jelly, if it is too light blend one drop of blue food coloring to darken. Dribble the jelly onto intestines to form pockets of blood.
